Fire N' Stone is pleased to offer you the Operations Manager position. You will be serving an entrance probationary period of 90 days upon satisfactory completion your status will change to permanent.
Maintaining a skillful team and developing them throughout their career with us is an essential undertaking of our Operations Manager position. In order to be successful as our Operations Manager, you must possess strong leadership skills, proficient in communication, possess exemplary organizational and communication skills, be able to model desired behavior for a young and growing workforce, as well as, have the passion to inspire and lead a great team.
The job entails managing office operations, office staff and chimney technicians both in office and at customer locations.
Job Duties Include:
- Oversee the daily operations of the company, sweeps, inspections and field operations in a highly organized manner with the ability to multi-task.
- Lead, manage, supervise and motivate subordinates/staff - effectively.
- Ensure the development of strategic programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives are met.
- Ensure the overall delivery and quality of the offerings to customers.
- Coordinate/Write/Implement Standard Operation Procedures.
- Engage in key or targeted customer activities.
- Oversee key hiring, conduct job interviews and properly onboard new hires.
- Oversee talent development programs managing the company’s training program.
- Communicate strategy and results to the employees.
- Understand LEAN principles to maximize customer value, minimize waste, and reduce costs through the workplace.
- Track and measure waste cost. Build a strategic plan to eliminate waste.
- Navigate computer software to store data in logical sequences, at ease with learning new software, etc.
- Maintain and organize data via Excel Spreadsheet.
- Report key results to corporate officers.
- Engage with corporate officers in broader organizational strategic planning.
- Become proficient with the company CRM (Service Titan) and also in the technical aspects of the chimney, venting and hearth industry.
- Active participate/teach in training and meetings.
- Ability to work overtime during the peak season.
- Must be punctual and able to meet time commitments.
- Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a trustworthy individual.
- Able to work without direct supervision.
- Quality Control site visits at all large jobs daily, check in with crews making sure they have all materials needed including any rescues, and insure photos are sent to schedule coordinator.
- Check Telegram often for important info that may affect the day.
- Keep up with telegram “Alert parts chat”.
- Check Service titan for large jobs to plan site visits.
- Check the job track to insure order stoves and parts.
- Check and respond to emails.
- Look at Service Titan Dispatch board and Job tracker one week out confirming all parts for jobs are in and enter documentation of orders in the Job Tracker for scheduling purposes.
- Note and make recommendations to help improve work ethic.
- Use outside resources such as CVC Success Group to assist in reaching the strategic goals established.
Pay Scale:
- $55,000 - $70,000 annually
Weekly Job Duties:
- Meet daily with company wide teams.
- Waste management tracking and measurement.
- Check Service Titan Dispatch board and Job tracker when scheduled later than 4 weeks out confirm all parts for jobs are in and enter documentation in the Job Tracker for scheduling purposes.
- Check “alert parts chat”.
- Work with the Warehouse Supervisor on parts location to keep warehouse in great and products / party easy accessibility.
- Keep paperwork and order forms organized/easily accessible.

THIS IS A SKILLED POSITION WITH A MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
As a Chimney Technician/Hearth Installer you will be performing chimney cleaning and inspections, fireplace and chimney repairs, chimney lining installations, installation of stoves and fireplaces, as well as in the field sales of our products and services that are found to be needed. This position requires a high level of customer service and communication skills, ability to perform on the road sales, and the ability to figure things out and solve problems with materials available to our industry while adhering to code and safety standards.
CSIA and/or NFI Certification as well as construction/masonry experience is a big plus, though not required immediately. Vocational experience and/or previous in home service technician experience preferred. We are willing to train the right candidate with the right attitude provided they meet the minimum experience requirement.
